Program Overview
The BSc in Business Administration degree program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Business and management and their applications in various sectors. This program typically spans over three to four years and equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in Business.
The overall knowledge objective of this program is the acquisition of knowledge of the many functional areas of a business and the interrelationships among the functional areas within a business.
In particular, the program exposes students to the following areas: A well-balanced general education background, including sciences, social sciences, written and oral communication, Economics (macro and micro), Statistic, Financial accounting, Managerial accounting, Finance and banking, General management operations management, and management information system, Business ethic, Organizational behaviour, Marketing and consumer behaviour, International aspects of business practice.

Competence
At the completion of the program student would have gained the following competences:
Technical Competence
Students will be able to successfully explain general business concepts, theories and regulations and apply the knowledge towards addressing issues in real-life business situations.
Ethical Orientation:
Undergraduate business administration students will be able to recognize ethical issues in business and, where appropriate, resolve those issues. Furthermore, they will adopt the concept of ‘ethical consumer’ as they make well-informed decisions on what they buy and how they buy.
Global Outlook:
Business administration students will become familiar with the role of globalisation in shaping business activities. They will develop broad understanding of global issues affecting businesses in general, while critically examining the different dimensions of globalisation such as economic, political and cultural dimensions of globalisation. They will make informed arguments regarding how these dimensions increasingly shape business operations, especially in highly a competitive business environment.

At the completion of the program student would have acquired the following skills:
Research skills:
Undergraduate business students will learn how to explore both quantitative and qualitative data sources using online databases. They will be able to use descriptive statistics to analyse datasets needed for managerial decision-making.
Communication skills:
Oral Communications: Students will create and effectively deliver oral presentations that are concise and informative and conduct research appropriate to the task at hand.
Written Communications:
Students will demonstrate written communication skills appropriate for general business situations .
PEDAGOGICAL METHODS
The BSc in Business Administration program consists of 6 semesters of full-time study duration of 3 years. The courses are sequenced such that later courses leverage material learned in earlier courses. In general, the pedagogical approach of the Introductory and Core Modules comprise lectures, practical sessions and exams.
The Advanced Modules incorporate case studies and group projects. The degree programme in BSc in Business Administration is designed to give an overall conceptual foundation in business administration. It is developed by academic and industry professionals with first-hand experience in business.
