Message from Provost

AUM is pleased to welcome all the students returning from last year, as well as the new students joining AUM in this academic year

The heart of academic life at AUM is our degree programs. For the 2018-19 academic year we continue our Bachelors programs in Business Administration, Accounting, Game Development and our MBA, and we have added four new Bachelors degree programs: Business and Finance, Graphic Design and Animation, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Chinese Language and Culture.

The study of courses in the degree programs develop a student’s expertise in the major field. However, at AUM academics is more than just that. Through our General Education Program, which is required of all undergraduates, students study a range of subjects that familiarize you with the various ways that people understand ourselves, one another, and our world. The GE Program includes courses in writing, mathematics, the natural sciences, the social sciences, and the arts and humanities. An AUM student is both a specialist in a field and a well-educated person, able to move on in life in meaningful and fruitful ways. When you leave university, you will be a worker, a leader, a citizen, and a member of a community. Your academic experience at AUM prepares you for the richness of the rest of your life.

AUM students receive extensive academic support, in the first instance from the faculty. AUM’s academic staff, both full-time and part-time, are a distinguished group of scholars from the US, Malta, and other countries, whose dedication is to the education of our students and to the development of their own research and scholarship. Our students are the beneficiaries of the faculty’s activities in their teaching and in their scholarship. Another important source of support for our students is the AUM Library. We have arranged for electronic access to thousands of journals, and nearly 1 million books, all of which are available to students, faculty, and the AUM community.

Students at AUM enjoy a first-rate curriculum, experienced and dedicated professors, a low student-faculty ratio, and close attention from the faculty and staff. Together we continue to develop the university and to provide a first-rate university education for all of our students.

If you are a prospective student and considering AUM for your university studies, please take a moment and look through the website, and contact any of our faculty and admissions staff with any questions about AUM that you may have.

John Ryder,
